• Can I place an order using my website account?

No, we can't accept orders via the website.

To hire from us you will need a Trade account, please contact Sales Accounts to request an application form.

• Can I reserve props?

We do not “hold” props for clients unless secured against a purchase order.

We will give you first refusal on anything you ask us to, but the first person to confirm the booking with an order will secure the item.

If secured against a purchase order, we will charge a 10% administration fee for orders cancelled more than 24 hours prior to collection. A cancellation charge of 50% of the hire charge will be made if notification is received less than 24 hours prior to collection.

• Why is there a delay in getting a Quote / Hire Contract?

At peak times, especially Monday mornings and Friday afternoons, we experience a high volume of enquiries both by email and in-person, so our team has to prioritise jobs by collection date and first-come-first-served order.

Consequently, email enquiries for general pricing are not given priority. We will get to them as soon as we possibly can, and strive to respond within 48 hours (or less), so please bear with us!

• Can I order over the phone?

Yes, in principle, but our team may not be able to take your call immediately so, if your job is not urgent or imminent (within a day or two), it’s still better to email your enquiry to us.

• Why did I receive an item that is not in in the same condition as the photo on the website.?

Please be aware that the images on the website do not necessarily represent the CURRENT condition of the item.

We are constantly trying to update our photos but there are thousands of items so it’s a never-ending task, and obviously, when on hire, items can get damaged or scratched.

Although our expert craftsmen repair & restore items, it’s always best to come in and view them first hand to make sure they’re suitable for your project.

• How long is a hire week?

At Superhire we allow up to 8 days! That is, you can collect on a Monday at 8.00a.m and return as late as 4.00 p.m. the following Monday.

• Is there a minimum hire charge?

Yes there is. For Cash Account customers there is a minimum hire charge of £100 +VAT per hire contract.

• What if I return late?

You will be charged an extended hire.

If the initial hire was 1 week, the rate is 5% of the Risk Value for the second week and 2.5% for every week thereafter.

If the initial hire was 2 weeks or more, the rate is 2.5% of the Risk Value for each extra week.
